The Art of Being You by Lotte Bruning

"The purpose of art is not to display the surface of things, but the inside ... that is the real reality." (Aristotle).

We all consist of several layers. The outer layer does not show all what this is hidden. Looking through several layers is an art on it's own, where time and distance are two important variables.

In this project, that is bundled in a book, Lotte Bruning used these variables and turned the outer layers of the models transparent. You can look through the layers, beyond the outer shell and therefore display the underlying characteristics that make people look so wonderful.

Rocket Garage Amsterdam was pleased to participate in this inspiring project.
